The Sun Certified Mobile Application Developer for the Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition, Version 1.0 certification exam is for programmers and developers who are using Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) technologies to develop mobile applications for cell phones or other Java enabled devices. Passing this exam certifies that the candidate has achieved a standard level of proficiency with mobile Java technologies, as well as with the Java Technology for Wireless Industry (JTWI) specification, including the Wireless Messaging application programming interface (API) and Mobile Media APIs.
